1946 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Chassis WYA16 Donated by Dr. Robert Brod
Delivered in 1947 to a prominent family in London as WYA16, A Saloon Limousine with Body #1391, design #3004/C (a one of kind model with dual side mounts) created by Freestone and Webb, It remained in the Mayfair region of London under the ownership of the same family for 30 years and subsequently was sold to a collector in Central PA.
Dr. Robert Brod related the following information to the RRF
" I first saw the car at Hershey in 1979 and after five years of patient negotiations was able to purchase it in 1984.
The car underwent a complete mechanical restoration, was stripped to bare metal, and repainted, reupholstered and the wood was refinished.
After serving as the wedding Limousine for my two daughters and giving the family years of wonderful driving experiences it was donated to the Rolls-Royce Foundation in 1994 as a representative of a rare, entirely original, one of a kind version of the early post war Silver Wraith."
